New Roborock Q Revo robot vacuum launched

The Roborock Q Revo robot vacuum cleaner can empty and clean itself.

Xiaomi has launched a new robot vacuum cleaner: the Roborock Q Revo robot vacuum cleaner. This robot vacuum cleaner has a number of unique features, including an automatic cleaning system.

The Roborock Q Revo is a robot vacuum cleaner with a mopping function. Under the robot vacuum cleaner you will discover two rotating mopping pads that can easily remove stains from the floor. The mopping pads rotate in opposite directions for optimal cleaning results.

Is the Roborock Q Revo vacuuming hardwooden floors, but does it run into a carpet? Then the mop is automatically lifted up, so that it does not cause dirty stains on your beautiful rug.

According to Roborock, there is a suction power of 5500 PA. The robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with special brushes that prevent tangling hairs. Automatic emptying, cleaning and refilling

The fact that this is a smart and independent vacuum cleaner becomes apparent when I take a look at the charging station. Here the robot vacuum cleaner is not only charged, but the robot vacuum cleaner is also emptied automatically. There is a capacity of 2.7 liters; Roborock promises that this is enough for about seven weeks.

An automatic emptying system is of course not something new, because I also saw this functionality during the iRobot Roomba J7+ review. What is unique, however, is that the mop pads are cleaned automatically.

And to prevent mold or bad smell from the wet pads, they are even dried. The charging station heats up to 45 degrees Celsius to dry the mop pads after they have been cleaned. And is the water tank empty? Then it will even be refilled automatically.

Faster cleaning, smarter charging

The new Xiaomi Roborock Q Revo robot vacuum cleaner cleans faster than its predecessors, thanks to Quick Mapping. With this, the Roborock maps the room, after which it follows cleaning routes in the most efficient way possible. There's talk of obstacle detection: “The Q Revo detects and avoids potential hazards easily, so you don't have to worry about picking them up off the floor before it starts cleaning,” says Roborock.

Custom cleaning routes

In the Roborock app you can easily create a personalized cleaning plan. For example, you can have specific areas or rooms vacuumed at specific times.
